Streamlining Process for Biennial CW Competition
CW moved to online submissions last year and had over 300 submissions, and they anticipate more in the future.
The next contest deadline is Dec. 15, 2012. To streamline this process for readers and Aimн© and Janet Morris in Admissions, weду»d like to consider the following:
Using Slide Room for submissions so faculty can read them online vs having them printed out. The issue is how to keep submissions anonymous--would we use Slide Room on our end after students have uploaded submissions? We will work on this with Margaret Fako
Would it be possible for students who submit to the contest to be automatically entered in EnrollmentRx/SalesForce? (Another question for Margaret Fako?)
** Brochure needs to go to print by end of January if not sooner and needs to have something about думhow to submitдуќ on it. Can just go to http://academy.interlochen.org/content/virginia-b-ball-creative-writing-competition

What are the opportunities that we are not taking advantage of in ERx because I donду»t know about them?
Learning more about how we can connect to other departments through ERx / SFDC.
As an example, pulling lists / campaigns in ERx and having Marketing use those lists for email campaigns.
This maybe sounds like educating on the enterprise BPM once weду»ve done it.

Social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc) are completely different and require different kinds of posts - Twitter is for information sharing and engagement one-on-one. You don’t get the thread you get on Facebook. On the other hand, you can post longer things on Facebook for people to comment on and respond to.
Also, it appears "lazy" in the social media world - if you want people to interact with you on different social networks, you need to be willing to dedicate the time and resources to maintaining those different communities.

Planning on doing a walkthrough on the dorm locations with the electricians this week to find out what, if any, wiring can be done in house versus using FNZ.

Mobile Campus Tour App
Let's create a mobile app which serves as a campus tour guide. Much like Google's Field Trip, Wanderous, or Map-N-Tour (to name a few), visitors of campus could download/open this app and be guided through an independent walking tour of campus. The app would give them history, interesting facts, photos, videos, access to the 360 panoramas, etc. all in the palm of their hand.
Given the size of campus, the number of buildings/venues/arts pieces, and the long, rich history this could be a great experience for those who visit us throughout the year. This could also be something that can present itself on the website and really enhance the "visit campus" page(s) that we currently have. Ideally this would complete with 3D rendering of buildings (and possibly even terrain) which could then also be pushed into Google Earth. We might even be able to use geofencing or other location aware technology to send push alerts or some other proactive method of guiding folks through campus.
It be great to have all this wrapped into a slick little Campus Tour app to enhance the experience those that visit and tour campus each year.

Great Room Rack and Projector Needs
If we can both build toward this goal and improve on what we currently have, weду»d love a more user-friendly rack that produces high quality audio is wired so we can use audio from the internet rather than having to rely on smaller speakers for this purpose.
Adequate training and training materials are needed for this equipment.
