Associate departmental ticket purchases to actual Contacts in SF
From Kate Olson and Heather Cova:
Michael - as a follow-up to Sonja's great presentation....can we find a place to put a donor/guest name in a field on a ticket order if it is purchased by Advancement, the President's office, Admissions, etc?
This is especially important if the tickets are being held at Will Call, and we aren't handling them ourselves. In cases where we have the tickets, I will often track the seats in Activities.
Kate

Yes, I would like to find a way to track tickets given to trustees from blocks of tickets purchased through our Department - say when we get 20 tickets for Willie Nelson or other concert. Right now, I have a spreadsheet, but it would be great if we could find a better way to track our departmental assignments.

Improve IPR Online Engagement
Buy related web domains, including ipr.org, classicalipr.org, iprnewsradio.org and interlochenpublicradio.org and route them to our site.
More connection with listeners / audience.
думForeground attentionдуќ vs. думBackground attention.дуќ
Have a culture that embraces what is happening in the outside world.
Improved email segmentation and engagement over what we have now.
New Convio email marketing capabilities.
Web interface to transmitters.
Internet delivery of audio to transmitter sites and validate that it is being broadcast.
Moving to IP based audio in the studios.
Digital phone interface to the Cisco phones.
News: Already creates audio, text, photo content.
Currently duplicating a lot of effort because of the many channels this content serves / is думpublishedдуќ via.
Donду»t have a good system for tagging photos for current or future use; photo archive solutions / content management solutions.
Basically need a cross-channel cross-media content management solution.
More nimble design / ability within the web site as well.
As well as integration with social networking and media.
A new web site.
1,000 or so hits / week.
As high as 900 hits on a popular story.
Streaming stats:
115,000 hours of streamed audio in December (3700 hours / day).
48,000 unique users for news, 18,000 for music.
Google Analytics account for streaming from NPR.
Perhaps look at a social networking integration with news story content and commenting.
Need to rationalize commenting on the web site vs. Facebook.
Automated tweeting of the playlist to an account.
More connection with listeners / audience.

ID Badge swiping for HR training
I would like to be able to use the employee badges to scan upon employee's arrival to training sessions. The training sessions I believe I would like to track are:
Also, I had a brainstorm. The other very large task that we have to track is Camp employee evaluations. We print labels for the evaluations that include the employee name and position and adhere them to the evaluations. I was wondering if there is a way that we could also print a bar code on the labels that would be scannable as they come in so that we could track those evaluations that have been completed. This would save huge amounts of time and allow us to be able to follow up in a timely manner on those evaluations that have not been completed.

The ICA Virtual Classroom
Math-Science brought this up and gave their ideas on what it means to them.
Interaction outside of the physical classroom.
More думsocial networkyдуќ / discussion threads.
Something that is as intuitive and attractive as Facebook.
Recorded whiteboard lesson / problem solving that can be shared on demand.
Currently using chat effectively with students.
Store entire lessons, as is currently possible with the Promethean.
Potential inversion of the lecture / homework model.
Opportunities to catch students who are out of class for whatever reason with the materials?
How does the inclusion of думthird-partyдуќ content into the class affect the work of the instructor?
Flipped classroom: Video at home, homework in class.

ICA Online/Searchable Properties Database
I would like to create/develop an online database that is searchable via simple GUI with input text boxes that search corresponding columns of information for each item in the props inventory located in the basement of the Harvey Theatre building.
Desired Features:
- Information populated, input, and edited online from any computer connected to the internet (Google Spreadsheet?)
- The ability to have a picture of the item
- Categories/Columns of information (i.e. color, time period, material, notes, condition, quantity, show name, size, location, shelf, row, aisle, item number/code)
- A GUI that takes the above columns and has a simple to use user input text fields. This actually could just be one search box where descriptive words can be entered and the search engine will find any and all instances of said word(s)
- The ability to check in/out the items and how many of them were checked out and how many are remaining
- Ability to mark who is checking them out, where they are going to, and when they are scheduled to be returned.
- Ability to record contact information for the person/persons who are checking the items out with certain information (i.e. phone number) being required to continue with the process.
Time-Frame for Project:
I would like to develop this and hone a system of sorts during the first semester of the 2014-2015 school year and attempt to use it in conjunction with the new production request forms people are being asked to submit to Presentations to get items from storage in Harvey.

Analyzing Crescendo click-through data against Salesforce Contacts
Chip in Marketing is able to pull reports of who clicked into Crescendo email and what links they clicked on. He and Mktg staff want to analyze that data against who those contacts are in SF: patrons vs alumni vs donors vs parents, etc. This should be a fairly simple custom object data migration project, that Chip/Mktg should be able to handle with some training.
NOTE: this has already been added to the Trello board.

Improve technology for Music pedagogy
Need to see if the WIRD equipment could be used for other means (Sound Out, new student radio station, etc.).
Studio recording environment.
Promethean Board does not talk well with Finale.
Used like a giant projector currently.
Apparently every interactive whiteboard is a disappointment at some level.
Site visits for faculty to determine what technology we should be using in these classrooms.
Might want to consider touchscreen technology rather than interactive whiteboards.
Audio playback for students.
High-quality sound system in studios.
Summer is also not a good stereo experience.
Bluetooth Bose system would be particularly useful.
Airport Express with high-quality speakers.
Etc.
Fine Arts is also a problematic location for audio.
Smart Music software and Band in a Box.
Get Tom R some Music Pad Pros.
Reconsider the orientation or architecture of the music lab.
Would be nice if it were an independent lab and an independent classroom.
Music distribution and destruction are problematic.
Another distribution mechanism would be useful.
iPads are good for choral music not not other great for orchestral.

instead of printed tiny pieces of cardstock with names and phone numbers and laminate individually, create a nicer looking plastic card (similar to the "Core Values" for Res Life Camp Personnel
